Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Many advisers…How can I add to this?
I was talking with a project manager the other day and they were telling me how the project team (they are agile) was telling him that they couldn’t work with the project plan that he had created. It wasn’t inline with the way they work. What surprised me was not that they couldn’t work with the plan but that the project manager created a project plan alone. Never try to plan by yourself or your plans will fail.
Now you can create a DRAFT plan and tell the team, “Hey, I have created this draft plan as something we can have a starting point.” But never believe that your plan is right. If you find that your plan IS right and that the team doesn’t make any changes. Get a new team.
